Breda, day 1

Today we travel to Breda for the last step of saying goodbye to my mum and dad; on Saturday we will spread their ashes..

Halbe and Astrid are so kind to house us for a few nights and after having dinner in their home we go into the city for a few drinks, Including of course in our favourite pub 'de Bommel'

Plans for the Utility Room

 So after the old kitchen was removed Michael from Kestrel Kitchens came and together we finalized the plans for the new layout:

 We are going to renovate the utility room. So first we had to sell the presses and all. Which went quick and today the buyer came and together we ripped it all out:

Club TT #3

 The final night of the club TT series. We have a great turn out with 23 club members arcing. I am 1 second faster then last week but that is probably mainly because I was able to draft for a few minutes after our 21 year-old champion who was 1 minute faster than me so!

Anyway happy with my 2nd place and third overall for the 3 weeks. 

Club TT #2

Club TT #2, I am better prepared then last week and complete the 12.5k about 17 seconds faster. But we have a much stronger field including our European competitors a third my age who beats my by more than a minute! I am still happy with my 3rd place

Blessington Day 2; June Blake's Garden

 After the hike we stopped for tea and a visit to the lovely, June Blake's Garden's. That place has been done up lovely and now you thee is also accommodation there. We just might come again and stay a little longer!

 After a short stop at Tulfarris Mansion we went for a nice short hike near Mullaghcleevaun.

 Back to were we came from! We went for a nice walk in Glending Forest, near Blessington where we had our first house together. After that we went to Tulfarris Hotel where we got married all those year ago. WE met Manuel and Laverne there. Manual and I went swimming in the lake of course before we all had a lovely meal together. For some reason the staff thought it was our anniversary 😂

Never underestimate an old man with a bicycle (club TT)

 Tonight is the first round of the club TT series. A bought a special outfit for the occasion and it it will be a good test my to see my speed on the TT bike! The weather is great and we have a good race but I finish just 1 second after the #1 🥲

 Beautiful evening for a nice easy long spin (90k) around Lough Ree!
