Lens Repair

So, quick story: I had a little incident with one of my camera lenses while we were in Portugal. The back panel and the seal had somehow come loose, but I was hopeful I could fix it. Fast forward to today! I sat down with my precision tools, a tiny drop of superglue, and a whole lot of patience, and—success! I was able to get it working again. A quick test confirmed it's good as new.

Progress Next Door

 Just one block-layer, but he is making good progress. The house next-door is taking shape and the foundations for their garage has now also been put in place.

Post-Wedding Bliss

It's such a lovely feeling when everyone gathers for breakfast the next morning. It turns the celebration into a mini-reunion and gives you a relaxed chance to catch up with the newlyweds (now officially Mr. and Mrs.!) and relive the best bits of the night before.

And an informal family album is a must! Those relaxed, candid shots are often the ones everyone loves the most.

Wedding Chloe & David

Today we hit the K-Club in County Kildare for Chloe and David's wedding! I had to wear black-tie for the first time ever because the invitation insisted—and honestly, it's not half bad. The only problem is these seriously uncomfortable shoes! Ouch. But hey, it's a great day in a gorgeous setting. David and Chloe look absolutely beaming, which is the main thing! After a relatively small crowd for the ceremony and dinner, we're now joining the party, and it looks like a whole lot more of the Nugents have arrived to get the real celebration started!

Frosty Run

 Yet another wintery morning and today I have time to go for a run and take some pictures too of course!

Looks like they are working to restore the badly damaged path called 'Franks Way' again....

Lidl Ballymahon

 Everyone in Ballymahon is very excited; we finally have our own Lidl shop in the town. This morning it opened its doors with some special  festive activities! It is a big store, bigger than the one in Athlone. So no more going to Athlone or Mullingar for our weekly groceries! 

Winter is Coming

We have had a few frosty mornings now but today was particular nice, so I grabbed my camera!

Tree Shredding

 It is busy next door; all the felled trees are being chipped! In the mean time we had a little chat with our neighbour and she agreed some of thee trees behind our house shouldn't have been cut and she promised to plant some new trees...

One More Forest Run!

 The series is finished but that didn't stop me going for a run today of course. Especially on such a beautiful autumn morning!
